Meet Our Team Members
Coach Beth has been with SportsTyme since 2015. She has been a teacher, a tutor, a Girl Scout leader, an after-school program director and a Faith formation teacher for 24 years. She is currently a teacher in Seminole County Public Schools. Beth and her husband Coach Joe will be celebrating their 20th anniversary soon. They have 2 daughters – Savannah and Chloe – who have also attended SportsTyme’s program for the last 3 years, making lasting friendships along the way.
Joe Cursi is the Middle School Athletic Director and Elementary P.E. Coach at Renaissance Charter at Crownpoint. Married to his lovely wife Beth, he has two daughters: Savannah and Chloe. Joe graduated from The University of Pittsburgh and is a lover of all things Pittsburgh, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins. Go PENS!
Raquel Gomez is a dedicated Behavior Specialist serving Orange County Public schools since 2018. With a fervent passion for empowering youth to reach their fullest potential, Raquel brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. As a devoted mother of three boys, she cherishes spending quality time with her family, especially outdoors by any body of water. Raquel finds solace in reading, indulges in sports, and actively engages in outdoor activities with her children. Committed to her faith, she is actively involved in her church community. Raquel is eager to make a positive impact and serve the community with enthusiasm and dedication.
Yvonne Cedeno has been a science teacher for four years. She started teaching at Boynton Beach High School, and is now teaching at Tradition Preparatory High School. She has taught a range of classes from AICE Biology to Physical Science. Her previous studies were at Nova Southeastern University where she earned her Bachelors in Biological Science, and then her Masters and Science Education. She is now earning her Ed.D at NSU in Educational Leadership. She also is a mother to a three-year-old and loves spending her free time paddle boarding and having movie nights with her family.
During the year, Sara is a First Grade Teacher with Orange County Public Schools. She comes to us with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida Gulf Coast University and enthusiasm to spare! She is a Florida Native, having been born and raised in sunny Sarasota, attended college in Fort Myers, and now living in the Orlando area. Sara enjoys everything the sunshine state has to offer including going to the beach, hiking trails along the springs, and visiting the theme parks (Universal in particular). When not at work, you can find her in the garden, exploring nature, or reading a good book. Her love for the outdoors, passion for Christ, and experience working with children make her a perfect fit for SportsTyme!
