Welcome, SportsTyme families! This year, we are celebrating SportsTyme’s 21st year of summer camp. We have many special surprises in store this summer—new vendors, unique activities, and special guest performances. Whether you are a new or a returning camper, here are a few things you will want to know before your first day at DeLand Middle School this summer:

If you need to contact the camp directly once summer starts, you can reach the on-site Director at (386) 337-3985. For all other inquiries, including questions about registration, please contact our office.

Drop-off and pick-up are from 8:30 am – 9:00 am and 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm, respectively. Follow the signs to the car loop when you arrive. For your safety and the safety of our campers, please remain in your vehicle. SportsTyme will provide you with a car tag to display for safe and efficient pick-up. Early drop-off begins at 7:30 am, and late pick-up ends at 6:00 pm sharp. If you did not register for those extra services, you could add them anytime on our website ($10 per week for Early Arrival / $10 per week for Late Stay).

Campers should bring two snacks, a lunch, and a water bottle to camp. Athletic clothing is encouraged.

Every Friday is Pizza & Kona Day. For lunch, campers get FREE pizza, a drink, and a dessert. Alternatively, you can always choose to pack a lunch. Also, Kona Ice snow cones are available for $3, $4, $5, or $6 for the Kiddie, Small, Medium, and Large sizes with $3 refills. Only cash is accepted at the Kona trucks.

Check our special events calendar throughout the summer.  As each camp week approaches, we will update our online camp calendar. Return campers, please note that Water Day is no longer weekly but rather one of many rotating events at our camp.

Want to check on your child’s behavior? SportsTyme uses a wristband system that allows campers to win prizes throughout the day. If your camper abides by the camp’s ‘Rules of Respect,’ they will still have their wristband at the end of the day.

SportsTyme has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying or inappropriate language. While we cannot promise bullying or inappropriate language will never occur at camp, we promise to address it immediately, so please report it.

No personal electronic devices can be used at camp; however, campers can pack a cell phone to use only for emergencies. Remember that SportsTyme will not be responsible for any lost or broken property.

You can register for more weeks and check availability anytime by visiting our website- it is always up-to-date. We will upload camp photos on SportsTyme’s Instagram-DeLand page, so be sure to check back there regularly and tag your friends. We also maintain a Facebook page. On behalf of our teachers and coaches, thank you so much for your support. We value you and your family very much.

Sincerely,
Coach LeeAnn
