Fourth of July is just a few days away and there’s lots of ways to celebrate. We already talked about some family fun that you can do to celebrate the holiday. But maybe you are really in the mood for fireworks? Don’t light your own and risk putting yourself or your family in danger. Instead, check out these events around Central Florida where you can safely celebrate the holiday and see some fireworks.

Red Hot and Boom

Can’t wait until July 4 to see fireworks? The City of Altamonte has you covered with Red, Hot, and Boom happening on July 3 at Crane’s Roost. Altamonte has teamed up with radio station XL 106.7 to bring you a variety of music acts. The music starts at 4 and the fireworks show starts at 9:30 PM. Visit their website for all the official details. Best of all, you’ll have all of July 4 free to get another dose of firework goodness if needed. Remember this event is quite popular – so be prepared for crowds.

Star Spangled Sanford

Looking for something a little more low-key but still fun? Sanford has their annual Star Spangled Sanford event in Downtown Sanford. They also have some local music acts and food trucks, as well. If you want to beat the heat, kids can cool off at the Fort Mellon splash pad. The event runs from 4-10PM. If you’ve never been to downtown Sanford, be sure to check out Hollerbach’s, an authentic German restaurant.
